Dr. Richard Haggerty of Deep River Veterinary Hospital, PC can perform anything from simple surgical procedures to complex knee surgeries for all breeds of cats and dogs. In fact, Dr. Haggerty is the only DVM in private practice in our area who currently performs orthopedic surgery for pets.

Anesthesia tailored to each patient is used before all procedures for safety and comfort. Our in-house equipment allows us immediate access to blood chemistry, hematology, serology, and parasite testing. EKGs are also available to diagnose heart problems as well as to monitor pets during anesthesia. We also closely monitor blood pressure, oxygen and carbon dioxide levels, and respiration and pulse rates.
